Anyway, HPM is (or was before talex implemented retarded CWE-esque mass decisions that are taken by AI every month) not really resource intensive, it's probably your PC is just weak or you run V2 with your browser on background. Try niggermod where that shit is all optional (turned off by default) and see if there is any difference.

Hearts of Iron 4 is my favorite grand strategy game. The difficulty is perfectly balanced with the depth of the mechanics. My second favorite Grand Strategy game is Stellaris

I like HoI4, but Stellaris actually belong on 4x general.

It's fun at first, but you will lose all interest in playing your mod once you get it into a playable state.

If you have assburgers and enjoy adding flavour via events/decisions to your world, then it could be pretty fun. Fixing up the borders/pops can be pretty tedious though.

To get it at a base working level is easy. To add some events and get it somewhat actually a playable game is still fairly easy. To fix all the borders and heaven be with you the pops make every nation have the right tech and all other BS is not that hard but will take so long its not worth it.
