how to reduce poly count on 80k face mmd model
im trying to mutilate it for meme avatars but even with the thing made of blocks its still 24k

What I do, if I really can't find anything else, is I just save it, use the CATS decimation tool to get it down to 19999, and just manually fix anything that might have been split or fucked up in edit mode.
Make sure you use the mode that saves the Key shapes or whatever, the one on the left.

Fuck that, I like making them. I just wish I didn't have to trade off game time to do it.

Thinking about bringing my laptop in for lunchtimes and seeing if it can handle Blender/ Unity. Wouldn't be able to work on anything lewd, though.

Back again, restarted because my model was stuck in t-pose after having lost a bone somehow and couldn't play human animations. When I throw the glasses into blender and do anything like fix model or join meshes, my skeleton seems to disconnect. Any way to avoid or fix this?

Let me let you in on a little secret.
The DLC is a mod they make for the game.
The VR plugins are just a mod for the game.
You can just get someone who has the VR version to give you the plugin. There's no DRM on it or anything.

I've noticed that apparently there is something about me or my voice that causes people to either ignore or mentally filter me. I'm usually totally ignored when I try to enter a conversation. I've found I have to repeat myself multiple times to get any kind of response/reaction. Has anyone else experienced this?

It probably won't work with just the software (might if you already sound androgynous) but you can train your voice to sound better (or even believable without any voice changing)

Still new to importing mmd characters, trying to import this model of illustrious that uses quite a bit of transparent textures.
Problem is if I try to decimate any of them or the skin underneath they are not going to line up and will clip. Is there anyway around this? Or am I just going to have to try to get it under 20k while not touching those areas?

I was going to grab a 1060 6gb but I figure if VR does take off we'll get more demanding games that I'll want ti 1070ti for, and if it doesn't then it will last me much, much longer since I'm not that picky with FPS for flat games. For that price I would have grabbed it too though.
