I like that idea actually - have some kind of nav computer component that will let you chain jumps together into a single trip (with better upgrades letting you chain more jumps).
Making a chained jump would take longer to charge up (you have to wait for the FSD to charge and the nav computer to calculate the route or something) and once you enter hyperspace the minigame starts. Waypoints you have to hit pop up during the jump like exits on a freeway and the challenge is trying to hit the right exit at the right time to keep the jump going to the next system. If you keep hitting the waypoints, the jump keeps going automatically, and if you miss your exit you take damage and end up coming out of hyperspace near a star or in the middle of a system, or maybe even in between stars if you fuck up badly enough.
It'd be a neat way for deep space explorers or traders to greatly extend their range and cut down on travel times, but at the risk of winding up stranded or damaging their ship if they're not careful.
