To be honest, just every weapon feels great in my opinion. In the last games I mostly played SA but now I will surely try out more weapons.

Yeah I feel you, the only one I can't really get my head around is the GL, not for lack of trying/really wanting to.

I did tend to gravitate towards IG and CB and Hammer in 4U but in World I can't get enough of SnS and DB. I guess it's easier to be fast now that we have a real controller, I tried DB on Gen recently and it just felt awkward being so compact.

Not a fan of World's movement. It feels too fluid and unrestricted almost, when those restrictions all had a purpose before. World kind of feels like a game with no rules, almost. Like the devs just threw their hands up in the air and went fuck it, just let the players do whatever they want.

Probably brute tigrex or frenzied brach. I failed some on other monsters but largely just had to get my shit together and focus before beating them on my second try. I just couldn't do that with LR gear against those mons, so I built full regios gear in an autistic rage and finally got over the hump.

Can somebody explain to me how sleepbombing works exactly ? I know how to do it but I'm unsure about one thing.
Assuming all the bombs detonate on the same frame, do they all get the x3 damage ? If not, wouldn't it be better to use them one by one everytime the monster falls asleep ?

Mizutsune, not that I couldn't kill it, but I had to go out of my way to get a method of breaking the claws so I could make the weapons. I didn't do any online in Gen so it was a bit of an effort.

which is why you see people bombing and also lvl 3 GS charging sleeping monsters, otherwise you'd risk only the bomb damage applying the bonus. TLDR you've got about .5 sec to apply buffed damage

I just soloed a G rank Rajang without my cats
Granted, it was only lvl 120 GQ jang and it took me 25 minutes to kill it, but it had frenzy and a Deviljho crashed the party and that made things a little hairy because my dung bombs didn't repel it right away.

Still, feeling good.

No tiny window, the first hit only, if you put 40 bombs only the first one will be boosted, so if you kick the bombs and hit the monster the kick will steal the bonus.

Well that's a let down I wasted so many bombs and thought I was doing big damage. Thanks for informing me. I've only just learned from a friend about all the demon drugs I've been wasting.

new players will find them useful in that it keeps the monster torn between 2 targets, experienced players know better and prefer the monster be facing and attacking them at all times for faster kills. theyre just a meat shield which happens to come with some random buffs and abilities to make them a little more, but either way you're slowing yourself down by relying on them.

It's not a waste, you don't have the x3 bonus on all of them but it's still a safe opportunity to drop bombs because unlike traps you're not wasting time if you do it.

no, they're just less than useless. They do about as much damage as a low rank player with starting weapons, trip the hunter, wake up sleeping monsters with 5 mv attacks and make the monster behave erratically. Best case you have support cats that set traps sometimes and wake up sleeping monsters, you're a gunner with bomber cats that MIGHT produce two regular bbls throughout the hunt and will at least wake the monster up with one bbl, or thieving cats that just stay out of the way and neither contribute nor interrupt the hunt and just get you more parts.

i mean it's more bombs to the head than you'd be getting normally, you're applying alot of damage in one place at once and you've got materials for 10 more LBB+s if you're serious about sleep bombing anyway, its not going to waste. you're probably slowing yourself down waiting on sleeps just to get the most out of each bomb. you're still doing ~400 pure damage per bomb

I have my cats set up to heal me. I have all of my 1st stringers as healers.

No, it's still a big window in which you can easily set another bomb. 3*1 + 1 bomb is still more than 3*1 bomb alone. Also if you're using an endgame raw GS like the seregios one or black fatalis blade, your level 3 does more damage than a bomb anyway on most monsters' weakspots.

However, if what you're asking is "does only one bomb get the bonus," then yes. If you expect the monster to sleep several times a hunt and you only have, say, three bbl and ate for pyro to make them bbl+, you'll probably want to only set one bomb each time if there isn't a GS to level 3 the monster or CB to ultra it (also stronger than a bbl+ iirc).

So, since Frenzy has been all but confirmed and a major plot point is the migration of Elder Dragons, doesn't this mean that the Magalas are coming back?

Healing cats are at best a placebo effect.
Sure, on paper you do get more healing every hunt. The problem is, the monster will choose its targets randomly and that will moot your positioning, because you have to chase it. This increases your chances of getting punished or hit by instant charges and the like, and always results in longer hunts, which means more time for the monster to attack. Longer hunts lead to more damage to your hunter.

Frenzy virus is mutually exclusive with the magalas being in the game. they are the cause of the frenzy virus, and it existed in 4U becuse the magalas existed.
