It'll be increased to 18 once you buy BfA with additions added when more allied races come out post BfA launch.

People loved when they put out Demon hunters a few weeks before Legion. This is just an extension of that. It gives people an excuse to roll an alt and experience the leveling changes while simultaneously alleviating the inevitable content drought.

It only makes sense that each expansion has less shit. The game has matured. I don't want it to end up like EQ or most other old MMOs where each expansion shits out another race/class pulled from nowhere.

And, again, even if Allied Races were the main selling point, people would still have to wait until BfA to get two of them (and whichever others get added too).

AV and IoC are alliance sided due to the map design, every other BG is Horde sided because Horde players are better.
