All items are shuffled in such a way that's it's still possible to beat the game without glitches. Also randomize which dungeons are pendants and which are crystals, and randomize which medallions are needed to open MM/TR. Also randomize stuff like enemy drops/tree pulls.

If both were playing through the same route, then it'd be fine. But if one decides to try his luck someplace, and the other tries to go somewhere else, then it's 100% decided by luck who will get the good item and who won't get shit.
