I think they're saving that mechanic for a champion to be based around it entirely.

The weird thing is how do make it not a shitty/better Drogoz.

RMB is usually reserved for more offensive skills. Charge punch can be used offensively and can be used to escape like the current shoulder bash. Rocket jump is better on f, which is usually reserved for escapes.
