Incredible game, amazing potential. The developer was an asshole jewish sperg who squandered the game's potential and then abandoned it.
He ended up handing over code maintenance and minor updates to a small handful of dedicated fans, but didn't give them enough access to make really good fixes and changes, so the game stagnated for years and years.

the only way cortex mp could have worked is if the simulation was deterministic, my guess is the guy didn't plan for it from the start. floating point math doesn't always give the same results across platforms, and it's a lot of work writing your own stuff from scratch I considered it for ss13d and decided against it pretty quick. the upside is it's impossible to cheat, but it comes with a lot of drawbacks
it should pick back up soon. I'm almost done with the boring stuff
