First, what happened - we didn't ship a Diretide event this year, and you were rightly upset about it. That was clearly a mistake, and then we compounded the problem by not telling you what was going on.

You realize the custom game shit is happening RIGHT NOW, right? Reddit is crying because Valve isn't delaying core game patches to ensure custom games don't get impacted in any way (this is stupid but they believe it). When Valve didn't do anything Reddit responded by making bots to flood all the custom game lobbies with a link to some shitty website saying "please support custom games more valve we want free money for this". Valve responded by blacklisting the Angel Arena dev (the main guy in charge of the movement) from the popular games page.
