This is not a complete list on how to avoid tracking, but a few notes I took while reading through this stuff:

1. Use a browser that doesn't sell data (no chrome, firefox etc.). Some suggest using Waterfox or Chromium, but I haven't looked into this, maybe tech anons can suggest better alternatives
2. Use a random agent spoofer add-on (and disable cookies too if you haven't already). This way it's much more difficult to track your browsing habits. You may want to consider a VPN on top of these if you got stuff to hide
3. Compartmentalize. Use different emails and passwords for different services, so that they can't be connected to each other. Don't ever give them your phone number (they use all of those things to build a profile of you)
4. (obvious) don't install shady apps or programs, minimize or eliminate social media presence if you're paranoid. Even if you do not use social media, they'll still track you through your friends though
5. I'm not sure what can be done about smartphones. They track your location and they listen in on you, don't know if there is any way to stop this. Maybe rely less on smartphones? They can probably track you through dumbphones too
