This is why people need to value anonymity on the internet. They always go the route of the le nothing to hide argument, but when it all comes down to it, the people who share that opinion are the ones hiding the most. But this is where I say they crossed the line. That's perfect reason to ban someone. I'd bet anything this latest hack is them doing it because they're salty about getting banned.

I see this ending in one of two ways.

1: They salt the earth and don't back down with their ambiguous policies which totes has no political drive behind them at all and keep the thin skinned mods who can't tell the difference between a simple joke and actual harassment (Vrpill literally banned someone for a day because they said "VRChat fucking sucks" around him ironically). In which case VRChat just fucking dies all together which would be a huge shame.

2: Someone yanks the source code (lets not fool ourselves, it always happens and WILL happen) and applies it to their own server space and VRChat goes totally open source and has various flavours and varieties like different types of imageboards and allows people to speak and act freely like nature intended. This is honestly what I want to see happen, but a LAN patch sounds fresh as fuck too.

To be honest I can half way understand their strict policies since Steam is a shrewd mistress who will remove anything at the drop of a politically incorrect pin, but the extent the mods are taking it is over kill. When streamers can get away with murder, but you can't even make a joke, you know there's an agenda and that's where most of the community crucifies them on their own hypocrisy.
