I've not been obsessively following news for mhw to make the wait easier, but I need to know one thing: have we got any confirmation on blood beyond the bow trailer from way back?

I started playing MH a few weeks ago (I played MH1 and other MH games on release, but couldn't play more than an hour each before I got bored because of the shit graphics).

A week ago I really started playing MH (because of World) and learned how to really play MH.

The most important things for a new player:

It's worth it, because why invent and learn something the hard way when you know "everything" in under an hour with a guide?

After reading the /mhg/ I realised that MH3U is a broken shit and shouldn't be played at all because of the cuck table. Also the advice to play the most recent MH is good if you want the best experience as a beginner.

Of those two MH3rd. MH Freedom Unite is for people who really like to suffer (spend a lot of time). MH:W will be released in under 10 days. You won't enjoy both games to its fullest, but MH3rd is a better choice for a beginner than FU.

Also remember THIS!:
MH is a game to invest a lot of time into. You have to learn the basics, the monsters, the weapons, and a lot of other things. It is normal to die a lot. Learn from your mistakes and try again. Every monster is kill able with any weapon. The only difference is how to kill the monster. Personally I would say don't play weapons like GS if you don't want to invest a lot of time, because GS is a weapon which can be the killing machine if you know what you are doing, but if you don't know what you are doing you are getting raped by a lot of higher monsters (it's satisfying if you have the right timing, though).

I don't know why people keep insinuating that you can't play this way in World. Giving GS new tools doesn't mean you can't pull off sick, timed charges on monsters anymore.

I think ill try GS again but i was too focused int he last betas on trying to skip cancel into True charge, and often ended up missing the window entirely. I think u just need to settle for strong charge hits most of the time, but it feels like the dps on GS is much lower

yes, it's one of the strongest single values of mount damage in 4U

Well, not dead exactly, but its gonna be much harder. I've been a GS main forever too. I dont know how to feel exactly, I'll miss the epicness of simplicity, but at the same time its gonna be fucking sick to land a clean true on a charging monster like that tiggy example.

demon mode into YB facing a cliff for sideways helicopter and a spinning finisher on the ground, it's like 15 hits of mount damage, and it's pretty much a guaranteed knockdown if it's not a mount.

The buildup from draw to Truecharge is too long in my opinion, not to mention windup after true makes is impossible to rollcancel like normal draw sniping.

Nergigante is on the cover for the JP version. Rathalos is on the cover in US probably because its more recognizable.

xbox is probably the last audience they care about, but it's not a ps4 exclusive and therefore they can put out a baited hook on every console with minimum effort. wouldnt get your hopes up for xbox MHW getting much attention unless they really start pushing an xbox focused ad campaign that involves doritos and mountain dew cap-codes for free ingame stuff

Yup. Def break that mindset. Its always been better to release early and hit rather than overcommitting and wiffing or getting rolled, but more important than ever now to maintain dps. Its a weird psychological barrier to overcome, as if not getting a full charge is a failure or something. Hell, I'm still guilty of it and I've done roughly 10k runs with GS over the course of the series.

Why wasn't there a non-collectors physical edition with the deluxe DLC included anyway? A lot of games usually have a standard edition, standard edition + DLC, and then collector's edition.
