Word of the thread is "dread"~! Alternatives are 'sin' and 'eternity'.
So in case you don't know what to do, just take one of the above words and write a poem with it! You can use any of them (though the main word is preferred) and use any interpretation of them you desire. THink about them for a few moments, you may come up with a new approach to them that you didn't see before! Anyways... Everyone is more than welcome to join in. In fact, the more people that join in, the more fun it will be! Whether you write something or not, I also think it would be great if you discussed a couple of other's poems with them. Even a simple "I liked it" goes a long way, you know? Well, get out there, do your best, and have fun!

For the poems, you usually just copy paste Death Grips lyrics and change them a bit to not raise suspicion. You tried writing your own love poem to Monika once, subtle enough hoping that she understands the meaning, but the end result was MySpace-tier garbage writing. You were so ashamed of yourself that you burned the piece of paper, paranoid that someone might find it in the trash even if you tear it up and throw away. ... "Well, I'm off to my club now. Thanks everyone." "By the way, what's user's first club?" Natsuki asks Sayori as you reach the door. This makes you freeze in your tracks. Sayori makes a conflicted face and tries to play off the question. You turn around and nervously say: It's... it's an esports club. Everyone becomes silent as soon as the words leave your mouth. Sayori looks at you with eyes full of pity. Natsuki has the eyes of someone who's looking at a child molester. "Oh dear..." says Yuri, then realizes she said that out loud and immediately looks away. Monika just stares at her feet, disappointed.

I disagree. I think that her flat nature, and the fact that she's defined in such easy to understand traits (she loves you unconditionally, she knows she's fake) make her far more appealing to the average normie, who don't really want to dig deep into a character. Monika's entire character arc is simplistic and layed out fairly bare for the viewer, and unlike any other Doki doesn't really require personal experience with a darker theme (depression, self harm, abuse) to fully appreciate. Monika appeals to normies because she's simple enough for a normie to understand.

I am convinced that people who think this way were always of the mentality that is conducive to waifu faggotry, and their insecurities over the idea of loving a "fictional character" was the only thing keeping them from tipping over.
