i figured it would be literally nothing

So I figured I'd have a go at making an antebellum since a lot of them are basically just blocks and that'd be right up my alley. But I can't get the column symmetry to add up which makes me feel really stupid since I'm probably missing something obvious.

You're not forced to have messy houses if you just don't use any of the laundry, which was a concern for many people who find actually doing laundry

It works just fine for the windows. But I cheated with the columns because otherwise they just broke the illusion right in front of the door.

I just threw my hands up and just learned to live with my blatant cheat. I think the exterior looks decent, especially compared to the terrible stuff I usually make. But my old nemesis since the Sims 1, roofing comes back to haunt me as always. I hate roofs so much.

Are you looking at any references? An easy roof for these is to make a room at the top, surround it with half hips and add some details from the chimney section or fencing to trim it

Hit shift c while highlighting the roof to add more options if you want more curve options

I started off just disabling mods for a week and then only put back in things I really missed

I would do that but I merged most of them together so it wouldn't take 40 minutes to load the game.
I need to go in and remove stuff from the merged packs but it's almost easier to go:
"Well most of my mods came from three or four specific people why don't I just go raid their tumblrs and redownload it all."

But even that is more effort than I feel like doing.

Just have to try to only redownload things you missed on more than one occasion, so you don't end up downloading something stupid like wings for a single fairy sim.
It's a lot easier to do it once you have to because everything's broken

I probably will in the end. Most of the stuff in game I don't really use, I just like having a lot of options when it comes to decorating. Out of everything I have I think the only thing I really use a lot are the stuff that you can find searching IKEA in the catalog.

I also need to figure out how to recolor hair because it's a pain in the ass trying to find one with a very specific ombre of dark brown and light green. That'd also save me a bunch of space with hair.

So I noticed my base game NPC sims started having babies even though I disabled all age progression for them. Does that mean all households will eventually be flooded with babies with no way to remove them? How to I cull the baby population?

use mcc to turn off random pregnancy. set it at -100
no babies
