A lot of people complain about the double wall map (and I agree it's a shit map), but the oasis map is objectively the worst designed map because some battles are futile and you cannot do anything but surrender.

gwen can use vengeful fighter well, but wary effie is too op. she also has some player phase thanks to her huge attack, and can oneshot big threats, like byln and other sweep users, that gwen can't scratch

How do you guys stomach using shit units in TT
I'm trying my hardest to use pitybreakers like faye and peri and camilla but without spending 20-40k feathers each for units i don't even like, their base weapons are garbage and there's not much SI variety if you're trying to be budget
I just want to use my favorites again but i know that they'll be 4k hm instantly if i use them for tt and then i won't be able to use them again until the next cap raise
For the record, i had 29 units at cap before 2.1.0

Technically +HP negates the -Def and helps Wary Fighter, as she won't get doubled except for brave weapons. Wouldn't be so bad to use her anyways and merge eventually.
I've only gotten two Effies since launch, and she's my favorite, while summon pools just continue to get more bloated.

Started thinking about Fates characters lately and how the way they were written totally betrays how good some of the designs are. Rinkah, for example, is like one of the easiest tropes of all time and IS somehow made her into one of the most unlikable characters in the entire game. How the fuck do you even manage that?

I think that's why I prefer Awakening between the two "nu" games. The designs are kind of eh, but the character writing was at least somewhat endearing. Fates took a bunch of tropes, told Kozaki to kick his designs up a notch, and then made the characters "quirky" (read: unlikeable) and inconsistent.

Really? Awakening is just as bad with its anime trope #3242 like Fates. Maribelle is a good example.

I prefer Fates because the gameplay and UI is more polished. Both far from my favourite games, of course.

No use merging her. She’s a dancer, so you won’t use her for score anyway. She’s also limited to she’s not getting merged any higher. At the very least just keep one as a reserve for Hone, since it’s so rare.
