You need to replace the 500 in the url of a tumblr picture with 1280 to get something closer to the original uploaded resolution. There used to be a way to get to the source image itself but I think they stopped people from doing that.

It's simply a better idea to go to the artist's twitter typically to see if it's uploaded there. Just right click and open in a new window then click the image to get max size then add :orig to the end of the URL and go there and see if it's even larger when you click it. Save that if so but remember the saved pic will have _orig at the end of it so you'll have to delete that portion.

Also yes they already said a billion times when they first unveiled them that they are normal skins, blizzard world isn't an event. The new legendaries cost 1,000 each.
