I can sometimes hit all the commands but the furthest I go is when everything hits but it doesn't register as a combo or my DP doesn't come out at all.

The first 3 hits, which are known as "normal attacks", have to be linked. That means that you have to wait for each and every one of them to finish before pressing the next one.
The last one is a cancel, so you just have to mash it.
If you are new to fighting games this is going to be very foreign and weird to you, but you'll eventually just get it.

Yes, in Marvel you can cancel your dash with down input and it's way faster to input that with buttons.
Most airdash characters can airdash into 8 directions too which makes regular dash input very inconvenient, especially midcombo.
You also have dash cancels which you have to input very fast and it's extremely hard to do without buttondashing.
Yeah, but the point is that that's an option, people who can do regular IADs don't have to do that.
In Marvel 3 you have to buttondash.

for the st. MP to b. HP link you just have to get the timing right, watch the animation closely and press b. HP the instant your character returns to a neutral position. For the b. HP to DP cancel you literally just have to be fast lmao
