Well that's less of a "game has changed" thing and more of a "people realize ignoring the ONE guy that hasn't shit the bed yet is a bad idea" thing.

Easy - Brand/Xerath. A bit "harder" is Zyra cos she need not to copy-paste same combo but always be tricky. If you want to play her good, you should always surprise enemies with what you gonna do next and be super agressive and use the skills in a different ways. If you do the same attack patterns they can predict you easy and counter. Also you start Q and you always ban Bliz.

About Brand/Xerath its more safe and easy and sorta more braindead. Also Lux is a good one. Get manaflow and poke to death.

I'm a midlane main. Enjoy AP assasins like Malz and Kassadin. Have also had fun with ziggs, and my secondary is adc where I just play jhin.
