I already dipped into Dauntless for a little and it's shit. Also for some reason the game's equivalent of carves are now lootboxes and there's a near-useless jump button that also gathers in place of where the evade button normally is in MH, as well as copying the sheathe/unsheathe mechanic but not actually doing anything with it.

On a controller I should've clarified. The last time I played, the A button on an Xbox controller manages both jumping and gathering. Considering the menu navigation, controller support seemed secondary at best.
