There is no "wrong" time to become a member, mainly because that early grind you do as F2P is basically non-existent when you're a member due to shit like Waterfall Quest. How'd it take you 5 prayer pots to kill iron dragons? Anti-dragon shield+antifire pot makes you completely immune to damage provided you don't melee. Just mage them you goof.

sorry wasn't paying attention to the thread, i basically just use what the wiki suggests. blessed dhide for the extra prayer, I default to protect from mage after the monkey finishes meleeing since it's your weakest defense anyway. arclight + ddef would be better but i'm lazy and make enough mistakes anyway :^)

It's a big xp drop and takes forever to grow, so protect it. It's only 6 poison ivy berries every 24 hours so you're not gonna break the bank and it's better than doing your run and seeing it's dead.

unless you're max potted all the time, any str bonus is going to give you an extra hit sometimes
