Getting the Farewell Episode is a gift nobody should feel sad about because we never thought we'd see them after Episode 5 again. At least here nothing we know it changed. Only added to.

Really annoys me when they have limited editions for games exclusive to the publisher's online store because the international shipping is usually outrageous. With conversion it usually ends up being double the cost

I agree about the epilogue. I think it'd create way more questions than answers and would only hurt their story. They wouldn't be able to please everyone anyway so it's in their best interests as a company to let this be the end. Farewell is going to be great even if they show some of the sad things. We know those sad things happen and since Farewell is set in the past it's not like it will detract anything from Max and Chloe's relationship in S1 and beyond at all. I'm still excited for it and excited to see what DONTNOD can do with S2.

The general has simply attained a more refined taste as it ages.

There would be a lot of work that needed to be done to even plan things; how can the epilogue even take place considering the endings, how far after things is it, where is it, who is in it, who's the player character?
Sure, it creates the opportunity to introduce us to at least Ryan & Vanessa (and possibly Kristen, Fernando, and have elements of both S1's and BtS's cast) but that's a big thing for a mini-epilogue. At that point, it would be approaching another season and then it needs conflict and other elements of a full game. As much as I could possibly love the result, and would love see see how Max's and Chloe's relationship developed in an official capacity, I'm going to have to say I really hope Farewell is the last time we see them.
Focus on new characters and stories instead of risking further damaging the original. I'm totally fine leaving the S1/BtS stuff to the fans and headcanon.

Yeah, I don't really see a way to converge the two ending without a total asspull. People that chose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay probably aren't going to want to play a game without Chloe in it and if you put Chloe in it then people who chose to sacrifice her won't be interested in it because their choice wasn't respected. I guess you could have something that starts post sacrifice Chloe and then have Max go back because she can't deal with life without Chloe in it and then have Chloe and Max work to try to stop the storm or something. There's just no good way to do it and like you said you'd need more than one episode to do this. It'd be fun to see Max interact with some of the BtS cast, though. Steph seems to be a fan favourite.

I think the only way they could try to line things up would be to create a third option and have two different opening scenes, where they both end up in the same position of Max having saved Chloe and also warned more people.
I don't think Deck Nine wants to completely abolish the storm even though they have said they realized the supernatural parts were not DONTNOD's strength. It is a big part of the story.
Even that would need a lot of set up to explain things.
