The first half of the event was fun. I got to interact with a bunch of friends and people watered my garden more often than they ever did before.

But fuck the 2nd half.
I'm not sure what Nintendo was thinking with that. You'd think they have enough experience with games to know that people need a bit of a success feeling to keep playing.
But just seeing failure failure failure every time you try to catch just demotivates you.

As long as you have active friends that you yourself share with, the event wasn't crazy terrible. There were a few times I thought I wasn't going to make it, but it's only because every other event, we finished within the first 3 days easily, and had 12 or so days left after. I think it's more or less the time constraint that's making it seem more daunting than it was.

For me personally it was just that the low catch rates were incredibly demotivating.
Shelled out a few tickets for Lloyd but it turned out to be completely unneccessary.
