Definitely. I started playing a little over a year ago and I had enough to do 300 rolls for hot spring Kanade, and I even used some jewels for occasional single rolls and stamina refreshes during some events.

SS is pretty generous with free jewels, you get a bunch of free ones from clearing and FCing songs, awakening cards and login bonuses.

Theater Days is holding an event called THE@TER BOOST, where you can earn voting tickets and vote for idols to appear in various roles on (probably) an upcoming drama CD. They did the same thing a while back with the THE@TER ACTIVITIES series.
However, the ticket acquisition period has ended. Voting remains open until the 22nd, but if you don't have any tickets by now, you can't vote. You can track the current status of the vote at twitter.com/imas_ml_td_b if you can read japanese.
For example, the attached image is the latest voting statistics for the "Three Sisters Cafe" scenario. Kaori is leading the vote for the Oldest Sister role, Shizuka is leading the vote for the Middle Sister role, Anna is leading the vote for the Youngest Sister role, Shiho is leading the vote for the Talking Cat role, and Rio is leading the vote for the Pretty Customer role. Once the final tallies are confirmed, the five winners will have a drama track written for them, which will be recording and distributed, likely on CD, but there might also be some in-game commus or something. We'll see.

There are two other scenarios: "Super Beach Volleyball" and "Theater Suspense". Roco and Fuka are trading blows for the "King" role in "Super Beach Volleyball", and there's been plenty of colorful discussion and hearty discussion of the subject in these threads. Vote Roco.

They're going to have events, and those months do have a MTG release, so it's either:

1. It's a tour event and has a corresponding MTG single

2. It's a different type of event that takes the place of the PSTheater event and doesn't come with a song. The Tour for the month is the MTG song.

Platinum Star Theater are just Token events. Play songs. Earn tokens. Use Tokens to play Event song, earn points. Rewards for rankings and point tiers.
Platinum Star Tour is similar to Token except you are given a limited rolling lineup of songs and work to do, often with randomized multipliers.
MillionLive Collection has you grinding to earn green medals to roll in a special gacha to get rewards.
Theater Showtime is just a series of daily rate-ups. Useful for restocking items between other, more intense events.

You need to go on a tour to participate in the event. After choosing your difficulty, you can select between two songs (from those you've unlocked), work, or the event song. The song and work is randomized. One is always 1.2x points compared to the other, and you should always be picking that unless you can't handle it.

Picking the event song requires a blood drop. You gain this every time you fill the blood bar (you need 20 points to fill a bar, you get 6 points for each song on MM)

Also to add to this, the event song has a random point multiplier between 3.5x and 5.0x.
But every time you fill 40 pips in the event item bar, the next play of the event song has a GUARANTEED 5.0x multiplier.
