This game is a straight up improvement over MH4U. More monsters, more maps, more different ways to play. Those who prefer a more traditional experience can also play on Guild Style. 4U can also get damn nearly unplayable on O3DS models thanks to framerate issues.

People memed too hard about spinoffs and anime. So hard that it came back to bite them in the ass now that they can't use the word spinoff anymore since capcom considers 4u a spinoff.
I personally think XX is a better game than 4u. Not having monsters locked behind rng expeditions that you still can't access even with dlc is all it took. XX just needs some fine tuning. 4u certainly needs more fine tuning than XX in my opinion.
XX is a fine and fun game despite how hard the minority whiners will try to convince you otherwise.
