Compare to other games isn't bad but it wasn't good either. They really need to improve upon it.

It demonstrated the flaw with picking teams beforehand. That being that if enough players from one team can't make it, the balance gets completely buttfucked. Everybody likes to win, but nobody likes a blowout.
Neither of the other two fests were perfect but at least they were relatively close.

Gears4 sucks when it comes to events. They only do double xp nothing higher. The grind to reup in this game is just terrible.

Nothing really I was talking about the xp crap considering re-uping is a complete chore it feels like they to QnA from COD with their leveling system (feels like jrpg lvl grind wasn't that bad). If you want my personal take on the campaign, it feels too safe and rememberable moments(expect the mech part), no main threats like roam, the locusts queen and etc.

All the Sigmund maps were terrible.

2 actually had the best map roster despite being the worst Halofest.
1 had griffball, which does not work with 16 people no matter which way you slice it, CTF on Basin, and swatnums on fucking mercy.
And then of course 3 had the Sigmund maps. Also I prefer Highrise to Sinbad for breakout. I understand changing it up because the same map every time gets boring, but after this time we should go back to it.
The worst map in 2 was eagle square which while not ideal isn't as bad as some of that other shit.

Apparently Co Assasin is making a new breakout map that supports 16 players.

An MCC Halofest would be a good starting point for the transition towards a more cooperatively organized event. Picking maps would be easier than jumping straight into everybody forging their own stuff and then trying to get it in. That would be a better second step.

I haven't touched the games on Xbone since the MCC launched, is the multiplayer still active?

The whole idea of team identity, which was I think one of Red's original staplepoints with the Halofest concept, is basically dead now though. Everyone is being drafted individually.
