Anyone liking how much easier World is over lets say 4u or Gen?

I could never get into these games before (my boyfriend tried to get me into Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate) and I tried to use the switch axe in that game but I had a hard time playing that game. I think I lost to the very first Lagiacarus I fought, no matter what I tried I got shit on.

I had to stop playing these games, but it made me sad because my boyfriend LOVES monster hunter. He ended up getting me Stories and I have about 900+ hours in that game. It's real fun

But when World came out I was hesitant to try a real monster hunter again, we did the beta and we had fun! He showed me h ow to use the charge blade! (Explosions!!!) And I'm having a blast!

It is, every weapon in the game is based off the model for either steel or bone with monster-specific parts tacked on. The base skeleton never changes though.

Mechanically great, monsters are far too easy, there's no content, and balancing is the worst in the entire series.
Basically, no, it isn't good, but it's a decent base for MH6 to build off of.

The only thing about World that is horrible is the multiplayer system. The whole session shit is garbage. I can't create any multiplayer sessions because everyone is already doing shit.

Those are intermediate steps (and also a gameplay mechanic)
As long as the weapon has the same iron/bone base you can roll back upgrades
As soon as the weapon gets a unique model you can't roll back anymore.
But every weapon still ends in a unique design.

dragonking eyepatch will be the centerpiece of all set building in World.
weakness exploit 2 with a 3-slot meaning you can instantly get crit boost as well, one more slot anywhere else gets you weakness exploit 3, leaving the rest of your set open for stacking as much crit as possible.
