Dark Souls 3 is essentially 100% CPU based. GPU really doesn't mean shit when it comes to performance for it. I have to run this game at 1600 x 900 just to get somewhat steady frames on low but I can run war frame on high settings at 1080p with a silky smooth 60fps.

It's rare but he can chain combo like that. You can trigger it by blocking after a few roll dodges. His move-set will change after it reads different inputs in the middle of an attack. It does look like a combo but really it's an attack quickly followed up by another set. Same thing can happen with the greatsword dark knights or any enemy that uses heavy weapons.
