Perhaps I can make a more elaborate edit and make the whole thing a bit prettier in general, fixing some of the planes and stuff. I think that would be nice.

Post your collage entries, buddies! Also, to clear up for new buddies: We're making a planefu collage! Just draw yours, do it with love and effort, and we'll add it right in. Absolutely ZERO skill required. The only rules are: >it must be black and white >it must fly from left to right >you MUST have fun drawing. It's the most important part! Remember, we can always help you if you need it! o7

I'd actually kinda like to see a fully realised verion. Be interesting.

Some quick attempts could be made. But it just looks like Flanker or Hornet wings on a Tomcat.
No clue why they went with a side view and not a top one for this tho.
Jayden Morgan
mfw no SU in tomcat colors

We could get Dornie to draw that.

Man that looks too fucking good.

I feel like I've just stepped through a cursed barrier, and I can't get out
Josiah Torres
all the (you)s !! i was just kidding guys. but why would you want a fixed wing Tom Cat anyway ? it would looks pretty similar to the flanker from the layout of the wings, and you would save a bunch of weight with the swingwing mechanics removed ... but that would be countered by more fuel in the wing and the fuselage i guess ...
Levi Thompson
It just looks kinda weird is all. I mean, when I think of a variable geometry wing, the first thing I go to is the F-14.
Noah Wilson
>not wanting as many variants of an aircraft as possible Also lower production costs.
Juan Morales
Then the tornado and then the Mig-23
Brayden Johnson
More fuel is better
Juan Morris
Tornado first for me, then F-14
Evan Morgan
Actually I go to the B-1 before either of those.
Adrian Baker
yeah we've seen all how that turns out with the F-35
i think the way the F-4 and the F-16 got roped into their jobs was a bit more successfu
lwell i just wanted to point out that you get no weight advantage out of reducing the swingwing mechanism
muhrica f yeah ~~~ yeah i was going to say ...

so I just saw an article about how the Russians are re-instating the "worlds biggest bomber" the tu 160
I'M ABSOLUTELY LIVID
Liam Carter
Anyone have Dorn's fleshy meatplane from the stealthdimension?
Leo Kelly
>tfw the Russians also have the biggest airlifter >they made theirs like 6" bigger than the C-5 just so it would be bigger I'll take the US's vastly superior infrastructure any day of the week, They can have the biggest cargo lifter. At least our 5th Gen fighter actually fucking works.
Parker Lewis
i'm more upset at the "journalist" who couldn't even be bothered to do any research
the tu160 has a wingspan of 183' and the b36 has a wingspan of 230'
Cooper Williams
I'd say he probably meant the world's biggest bomber currently serving, but that'd also be wrong, seeing as how the B-52 has a wingspan of 185'.
Leo Adams
It's not 1947 anymore buddy
Brody Anderson
Man this just really sounds like innuendo.
Oh baby, give me your fleshy meatplane~

Weren't you only going to namefag when contributing?

Tu-160 is heavier and longer than B-36. It probably also has more wetted area but I don't know that for sure.
35s and Hornets. >maybe it's an alternate future where the F-14 is still serving
Cameron Gonzalez

Tom might be a little harsh, but Top Gun was never good user. Learn to accept it.
Jacob Hughes
Top Gun is validated entirely for the amount of excellently shot live action plane porn in it. I can stand the paper thin plot because the plane parts are so goddamn excellent.
William Price
Oh, it was always a dumb borderline US Navy propaganda piece. It's incredibly stupid and cheesy. Like Robot Jox or the Street Fighter movie.
But they still manage to be fun if you embrace it for the junk food that it is.
Jacob Stewart
Best part of Top Gun as a movie is the opening scene. Everything after that is bad to worse.
Wyatt Turner
Don't get me wrong, the plane parts have been good so far mostly, but all the character scenes are so badly written it's almost unwatchable.

>he doesn't like all the training dogfights >he doesn't like the final interception of the MiG-28's when Danger Zone starts playing and Maverick finally gets his shit together (aka the most hotblooded mecha moment of the 80's) >he doesn't like Tom Cruise racing a Tomcat with his motorcycle >he doesn't like the authentic flat spin caused by the shit-tier PW TF30 engines Buddy, please stop.
Lincoln Phillips
does anyone know how to set up a Laserdisc player to a modern TV?
I have a few choice movies that you all made me want to watch mainly top gun, the second Indiana Jones movie, and original cut empire strikes back
Brody Morgan
>laserdisc Goddamn, haven't watched a laserdisc since 1st Grade, I think
Connor Ortiz
Honestly? All the air combat stuff isn't that great. It's poorly shot and constitutes a miniscule amount of the film compared to tom cruise creepily smiling at the female lead, shirtless men EMOTING at each other, and boring shit that isn't planes.
That's not Danger Zone playing in the final sortie.
Jeremiah Lewis
>Where were you? >It's classified hehehehe >mfw 90% of the dialogue in this movie
Cameron Richardson
If this is how you're taking Top Gun, I think Stealth would break you.
Asher Sullivan
Ah, you're right. I could've sworn it was, guess my memory is going to shit. The only really poorly shot dogfight was the ending one that's mostly stock footage of the same Tomcat firing the same missile and the same F-5 model being blown up. But for a mainstream Hollywood flick its got a decent amount, and I give it points for not bitching out and doing the lame modern action movie thing of a super closeup shakycam mess to cover up the shitty action cheorography. I mean, its certainly way better as a planefag movie than schlock like Final Countdown or Stealth.
Mason Roberts
I've seen Stealth, it's autism on a screen.
John Robinson
Stealth's main problem was the fact that it abruptly changed genres halfway through.
Matthew Lewis
It has been probably a year since I last saw Top Gun, but from what I remember most of the action footage is just reaction shots of the pilots with limited external shots.
I guess I didn't remember it as well as I thought. I still find myself annoyed by the absolutely retarded ACM.
John Wood
Changed my mind
Dylan Wood
Stop namefagging then you idiot.
Henry Phillips
Are Idol Defense Force Hummingbird and Third Aerial Girls Squad better than Top Gun?
Colton Rodriguez
Yes, both are more realistic portrayals of aerial combat than Top Gun.
John Wood
>shaming contributing namefags >in /aceg/
okay
Nicholas King
Its all about that cool factor. The 80's moviegoing audience didn't really place as much stock on accuracy as we do. You don't need a name to contribute beyond ego reasons, buddy.
James Stewart
TWanon here, Sadly there is no new information, No relase date No new demo No new flyable plane RTB after I give e3 demo a try.
Ayden King
>gives himself the name of a character in the series >posting two pics of planes is 'contributing' You don't need a name to post pictures of planes, and by picking that name you look as cringey as those retards in youtube comments.
