Place is slow but it'll stick around likely till the next anniversary. After that even I'm not all too optimistic, but Undertale will probably end up like Earthbound, a core fanbase will remain for a long while.

I kind of which Kickstarter games in general would cool down with stretch goal offers, they seem to end up breaking things more often than not.

More or less. The physical collector's edition is a nice touch, and there's about 20-30 different fangamer merch available, but there's room and demand for more. The collector's edition had a card that suggested more items will be available in the future, but I'm not sure if they've been formally announced yet.

The Eastern fandom remains lively as well, fan merch is now well past hundreds of items and there's been 2 Undertale-specific conventions in Japan already, with at least one more happening in the future.
