In the past I'd say it was because the Kayblis faction had no teamwork and was generally poorly managed, but now that we know about Stroganoff and the monster generals I've got no clue.

In general Japanese is ambiguous about gender, you can easily talk about someone without referring to their gender while in english you have to deliberately avoid using him or her and make the sentence sound wierd.

Hornet is really strong, she has stronger magic than redeye and doesn't even try.
