I've actually had this experience.

I also downloaded a mod from 3DM once and instead of proper files like meshes and textures and an .esp it just contained .obj files. Like buying a car and only getting blueprints for the engine.

Requiem is actually pretty good if you're lazy. But I think overall you can get a better experience with:
