To expand upon my point, Lars has some straight up bullshit, one of them being FF+4,3 being the longest reaching unseeable low in the game, having an OS after df+2 and being able to stomp if it hits, allowing him to not have to commit as much. Db4 being straight up obnoxious if seeable. SS+2 and Arc blast being powerful tools to have and both a high and low crush in uf3 and uf4.

That said overall he's not that great. He suffers in other places and that's where most of the game is played at.

I agree 100%. People have adopted honesty as some stupid term to justify their character but not admit they are lower tier. Lars is definitely in the bottom half of the tiers in this game but literally everyone is viable even a garbage character like Katarina. Honesty is just a loser demeaning his opponent for playing a better character but also not admitting his opponent plays a better character.

Why? Paul is a great character and Knee obviously enjoys playing him.

It's a massive tournament compared to the ones he usually wins. Instead of having 1 or 2 people who could potentially beat him there were probably 10-20.

Take put a ton of emphasis on shutting down JDCR's sidestepping, and Kazumi is great for that. I think that's key #1 to beating JDCR because he has the best movement in the game.
