Depends on what you want out of it. I found it quite useful for dropping juggernauts on DDH. Making the decision to equip it with a holosight will make it bad at range, mind.

the holo sight on it makes it such shit. Ive been rolling it for the fedora-tier experience of having a semi auto rifle. I'm so helpless without it. That and my sniper has explosive rounds so its always at 0 bullets too. For dedicated shitters I've simply stopped getting into gunfights since sniper wars are essential.

It's drastically changed my playstyle. Tanks and ballistic vests, BST, MOC abuse. Anything to avoid on foot combat.

well being a private island it wouldnt need the same level of detail as a whole game map obviously just some beach shapes and a ring road with some villa for the drug baron
alternately i did bring up the idea a couple deads ago that they could go with a "mother base" style ocean platform
just make the water deep enough that they dont need much detail down there

Buy an MOC/Avenger with a gunsmith and purchase them from inside (provided you have the necessary Mk1 weapon).

I should probably point out that certain weapon upgrades (explosive ammo, thermal scopes, etc) must be researched first via your underground bunker, and you'll definitely want the explosive rounds for your sniper as it can down a Hydra in 2 hits.
