I bought Battlefield 1 about a week ago and it feels like it's finally clicking. Almost every other round I get away with some bullshit stuff like last round I managed to crash a bomber by headshotting the pilot while riding sidecar.

It feels pretty random for me. Half the time in the big boi bomber all my seats are empty but yesterday I had some random bro support be a champ alternating between all the seats either shooting or repping.

on paper the stats are quite similar but the Huot has better ADS and bipod performance with the Ribeyrolles having miles better hipfire because SMG.

It pretty much is random. Sometimes I get a crew that will stay with me through the entire battalion/whenever we get shot down, but other times I’m nothing more than a flying taxi. But both of those are alright with me. I even have that specialisation equipped that gives anyone who exits a free spotting flare

iirc, the CTE balance changes didn't nerf everything. All SMGs were strictly buffed, but the Hellriegel and Automatico were buffed very little and did no higher damage in close range.

When I play with Soviet I play the same way, much more daring, and a lot of times it pays off. You don't have to worry about getting fucked over and not getting revived/healed after pulling something off with him. It's nice, honestly I miss it a lot when I'm not playing with him. Pic related was the last Verdun Heights I played with him during the campaign. I never play this well without him.
