You can still play online with your friends I’ve been doing it since release. It’s just the SOS with randoms that doesn’t work

You're not supposed to have fun in Monster Hunter

Some weapons can be crafted directly, but most need to be upgraded from the base ones in MHW.
It's the other way for me on PS4. I can't invite my friends to my room, but I can respond to SOS signals just fine.

So why did they make MHW this easy? I mean sure it's meant to be a game for new people to get into it and all, but couldn't we at least have gotten semi-challenging content in high rank?

Element doesn't really matter too much for HH and I haven't noticed any particularly raw heavy trees, so I'd just go with what has the best songs.

The Xeno HH has Reduce Stamina Use (L) and Attack Up+Def Up (s) and I need it.

Just go for fire resist. Eat something that raises ele res, or just be cocky and go for Atk (M).

What's wrong with Anja armor in LR?

Stick to something like Bone. Both Anjanath and Paolumu armors have one grade of Artillery each and will last you through the rest of low rank defense-wise since everything at this point is spread way too thin to have any major impact.
