So having finished the prequel I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels like the relationship between Chloe and Rachel was strong enough that in retrospect it's a bit hard to believe she had an affair with Jefferson and Frank of all people.

The most merciful thing for Alt Chloe was to prevent her from ever being made. Which is what Max did by revering the changes she made.

This. Although even though the timelines are re-written and there are no AUs, the idea of erasing all of the things that happened between Max's alteration and when she wakes up from her photojumps is disturbing. I mean, there's years of life and experiences that Max just wipes from existence, I know she has to and the same thing happens to the original timeline by not fixing things but it's still creepy.

The longer I've sat on it, the more I've come to love Max's interactions with AltChloe. They're some of the absolute best, most heartwrenching moments in the whole game.

It's where Max fully realizes the weight of what she can do. She changed so many people's lives, possibly everyone's in some way, all to try to help two people. It was with the best intentions to save William but it turned out to be something traumatizing. The one plus from it was Max, and later Chloe once told, got the answer to their questions about the past and what if things were different. Hopefully that helps them a little bit more in accepting what they've been through and in healing.

If there was a timeline where Chloe was in the chair but not dying, Max would've definitely taken care of her and watched movies and played vidya and given her smooches
For their honeymoon she would take Chloe to Paris

I wish they explored the psychological impact that would have on a single person, because it's insane to think about

Season 1 was enough to convince any sane person to save Chloe. It was kind of hard to like her in season 1 - to like her, you had to put yourself in her shoes, consider what she'd been through, consider the Chloe presented in the alternate timeline. You had to *actually* empathize with her. You had to put the work in and think about what was happening.
Liking BtS Chloe is easy because she's more immediately likeable. Liking her requires no empathy or understanding or 'putting yourself in her shoes'. People who only like her after BtS are lazy, unempathetic morons.
