I loved GR2 so much. I've never been a staunch nintendo fan but I just never got a console outside of theirs and it was the first game I played on ps4. Very nice, hope more is done with the series but I'm somewhat skeptical because of the server shutdown (but that was postponed for 7 months so who knows)

Im enjoying the game but the bloated HUD and the world detail mskes it s bit of a visual nightmare. I don't know where to fucking look. I need to go through the options and see what I can trim off. Also monsters retreating feels redundant without load zones.

No. There are optional quests and investigations (which are basically just optional quests) as well. They're all pretty much the same except the story quests have the annoying cutscene lock in most if not all of them.

Why? Where they really trying to make the game feel dead at arrival? Because they outdid themselves.

The Gathering Hub is always deserted and you can only find 2 or 3 posted quests at best.

Why not 32 people lobbies with people running around the city as if it was a Gathering Hub.

Imagine when the release playercount peak ends and 50-80% of the playerbase leaves. The online will be completely dead or feel like it for all effects.

You can take off the control guide, but there isn't much else. That helped me a lot though since it always felt like I was in a tutorial with it on.

I've been maining horn for multiplayer but I'm having doubts about how much I'm actually bringing to the team than if I just went for any other weapon for damage.

Do people actually like the buffs from horns? I do my best to keep most of them up all the time but it can be so difficult to deal decent damage with horn to the more aggressive monsters.

Level 2 charge is your best friend. Watch him for a while to learn when he's actually going to be done attacking vs attack+jumpback spamming.

I like buffs, depending which! You gotta know which buffs to bring to which battles
and you should definitely try your best to do all the buffing WHILE damaging the monster

i had the same confusion at first but they're not gone they're just called "loadouts" now. press start while you're in your box

I think the issue is being shoved in a session when you want to play alone. Most of the people I've encountered ignore the gathering hub because they don't want to play with other people.

I appreciate the effort you bring but I'd rather you be a bow user dropping status effects at that point.
