I put both Pandy and Briggy on Rex just for the novelty of freeing up slots on the other two. Zeke handles smashes, which is usually a crapshoot because it's Zeke with a spear, but I play as Zeke so it's fine. Pic sort of related.

Zeke seems to be pretty reliable launching for me.

No. She just realized that Zeke had the exact same situation than Rex's back then. Remember when Zeke was running away from bandits? Same thing: he didn't want Pandoria to see him die and return to her core for nothing. He wanted her to find a safe place before he kicks the bucket.

That's why he talked about the decision of a loved one.

I think Pandoria realized that she can't really argue with Zeke's logic, given that he too once had a similar situation with Pyra where he knew he wasn't going to make it but he at least wanted Pandoria to go on, even though it wasn't possible at the time given the bond between Drivers and Blades. But that's what matters, the wish from Pyra and Zeke was there and the same.

Maybe I'm thinking too deep into this, but I feel as though that bridge part had parallels to what Rex managed to teach Pyra and Mythra, to live on regardless to what burdens you may carry with you in life.
I think both Zeke and Pyra wants Rex to understand that feeling as well. For him to live on even though if it means living with the burden of leaving Pyra behind to die and Zeke's comment helped Rex accept that.

But then again the post credits scene happened so that kind of got completely invalidated.

I don't think it is invalidated, at least not completely. Rex still had to go through that pain but accepted that to a certain extent. That's why Rex's initial reaction wasn't just rushing to them at the end, but just joining them with resolve.

The thing is, Pandy didn't accept Zeke's decision or feelings. She dragged him in front of Amalthus.

Exactly, that's why she reacted that way in the bridge scene: back during the flashback, she was stubborn and tried to stay with Zeke no matter what it takes, but now, she is on the other side of the fence, and she realizes this decision wasn't done so lightly.

I searched and searched and the best I could find was a single offhand comment that she was on the flight deck which she wasn't. I'm in chapter 6 just about to take the boat to tantal if it's a progression issue.

I think its that tier right above the one with the inn - there's a big cluster of like three dozen little nopon huts. Is it time-sensitive? Because it's not uncommon for a quest to need to be completed after midnight, or before sunset, etc.

Mythra didn't create Pyra out of thin air. She did split part of her power to her (hence why Pyra says she got leftovers of Mythra's powers). The "full power" of the aegis is required to trigger that mode, so both girls are needed for Rex.

Where did those leftovers come from?
