Honestly that's a tough decision. because P3 becomes harder to complete the more of the alter games you've played. All I will say is that P3 has the most serious pacing issues in the first 3/4s I've ever seen but from January 1st on the calendar it is the coolest persona game. Shame about the rest of it. There is an event mid-late game that flips the story from being procedural and monthly to being interesting, but it is also followed by 2 months of nothing happening.
P4 is a very upbeat game and, if you play P4G has the most meat and content. You should play P4G if you want to play P4, vanilla is fine but you are missing out on a ton of the things we talk about here.
