Certs aren't that hard when you move on from leeching magnas to leeching DAO/Baal/Macula. I've still got 300 merits left after making an Ultima and 5* GW (three Bars) in the same month.

You get 2-300 silver certs just from 40-boxing, and rusteds come out of the halo mines fairly frequently. You'll still have to do a bunch of proto chicken or spend silver bars to get the first 5* done.
