This is the most beautiful card in the game, hands down.

Rethaz' changes rarely made actual sense from a game design point of view. He never managed to have a fully designed archetype besides the consume one. The rest is half baked and undersupported. Even dorfs rely on a few key cards and if they get nerfed the deck is straight back to being trash like before midwinter.

Which is sad, because he used to have good ideas (removing passives, making leaders playable on the board)

No one knows for certain. He hasn't posted anything in weeks, but that doesn't say much. Many people suspect he is gone because the patch was such a fuck up that someone HAD to be fired over this.

They should let us make neutral decks with neutral leaders that can only use neutral cards. Kind of like trying to make a colorless deck in MTG.

It is more likely that bandits will simply become neutral cards. Makes very little sense that lowly thugs would compete against Kingdoms and hordes of monsters.

Armies of ghouls, harpies and nekkers fighting against regular armies doesn't make sense either, not to mention scoia'tael - the faction itself doesn't make a lot of sense. The bandits can still pillage burn rape and destroy, hold some villages in their grasp, rule the underworld and influence the politics, run some big organizations like salamandra etc. Lambsmeat, azar javed, the big four as a one card and the gas on guy would make for good leaders, there's also plenty of bandits that you could add to the game, unlike kovier and poviss or zerrikania and offir

If they pursue the notion of a neutral faction, they could potentially shove Kovir and Poviss in there. The leaders of TW3 Novigrad are already in the game, so they could be moved to accommodate a newer faction. There're also a ton of book characters that don't have cards yet that could be used to populate a neutra/bandit faction.
