There is story, but the main focus is tactics, and there's literally everything to grind (a fun grind tough). You can farm everything. Even items have levels, and generally the postgame is huge. First and second have a story that kept me pulling allnighters, even tough it's not really deep.

I use 1080i personally (you can set it in the settings). Since the source image is ~540p quality anyway, interlacing doesn't have a significant downside.
