Sorry, I forgot to say why there were better in duel.
In duel running away is more practical because you can leave a kill half baked, you run away all the time to recover but in tdm and especially dm if you don't finish the job someone else will so all this shit with health and making people less consistent to land hits on is more damaging to non-duel gamemodes

With that MG there's still a few weapons to bring from Q2 that make sense for QC. SG, SSG, hyperblaster and RL. I want all that shit bad.

The problem with Duel in QC is that trying to make maps that fit all modes was a mistake
I realize some of the mainstay Duel maps of old Quakes were also regular FFA maps, but they went too far with the scale in QC (I assume to also enable Sac)
Notice how the only good Duel maps are Corrupted Keep and Blood Run - the ones that are small enough to prevent cucked +back tactics (and even then it can be done)
Vale of Pnath is almost good but it's an even bigger downward slope when one person controls Heavy and Mega. Whoever gets the first kill will likely control both pickups, and if Heavy is popping after Mega and not the other way around, you're fucked. Heavy Armor is even more exposed than in Blood Run

I'm at least happy almost every issue they've addressed in this update seems to be regarding balance and not entirely technical (as in, related to the game not working as it should)

if they can iron out all the inconsistencies in the code and make movement consistent across the board then they should be fine. they can always go back and tweak the champs but if we get stuff like dud rockets and hitboxes being non-existent a second time around then they'll be in some serious trouble.

yes, stack decay on lights is faster than on mediums than on heavies. I'm not sure what the values are, if its specific to each champion, if it's consistent with normal health/armor values, or what. I just know it exists and it's easily identifiable by looking at it in-game

Nyx now basically is just as slow as galena, and you have no choice but to save ghost walk to get away. She cant use it aggressively anymore. And if she does you get a super easy kill.

Because other problems emerged, the previous problem doesn't stop exist. Her ability is condensed bullshit. You can bitchslap her easily but when you are both low and she decide to active, you're screwed.
It that would be stealth/invisibility I could unload any type democracy from my pocket on her and try to push her away. There is literally no info where she'll appear and she'll always have around 0.3sec advantage over you.

She's also still top pick in duels for reason.
