I don't want to be "that guy", but I need to point out that steam numbers for a game with an independent launcher (every Hirez game has one) will always be inaccurate. In reality there's probably a few thousand if not more players for HotG. Now that's still pretty fucking pathetic for an online game, but I think the development costs are relatively low for HotG, so they just don't bother with pulling the plug for now
