Where's the elder dragon tracks in ancient forest

Unfortunately I have to wait for the PC release of MH:W but I have a 3DS here with MH4U and MHGen.
Already have 300 hours in on MH4U and unlocked a few pretty nice armor sets and so on while I didn't really start with MHGen yet.

The clue is, I have about a month left, afterwards I have to give away my 3DS.

Would you rather continue to play MH4U or start with MHGen?

On the other hand, Teostras hitboxes are different from the 3DS one... or maybe it''s just me...

Personally I think 4U is better. Mechanical and Gameplay wise Generations is better. Hunting styles aren't for everyone, but they're fun...

I'd say continue with 4U

If you're giving it away after a month I'd say generations so you at least get to experience it while you can.

Been using the Dear Lutemis for a few dozen hours, and I just got to HR. Is there any other CB worth farming for? Should I stick with the rath tree? Should I attempt to farm for the Zora blast CB, or is there a better tree available later on?

What was the first monster you carted on?

Fashion Hunter is the true endgame. Play with whatever the hell you like. I'd say dragon element and Paralysis Element are both good choices. Same with Blast ofc. Also Zora Magdaros CB looks freaking neat

This expedition almost gave me cancer.

Rathian CB is good in LR. Zorah CB is good in early HR especially combined with its set. But its next upgrade is very late.
Girros CB is a nice alternative to both, because para (bonus points for equipping your cat with a para weapon).
Later I think Nerg CB is one of the best.

What ranged weapon should i use? I've only ever used the Switch Axe in this game and the small bit of 3u I played.

What are objectively the best glaives?
I feel like glaive mains are limited to using glaives with speed boosts.

Already played it a little bit and I think I'll be even happier to play MH:W because I skipped the new stuff in MHGen.

I'm thinking about starting a mixed set with Rath Soul Beta to get 2 points in Focus and putting on a Focus charm and work my way from there. Maybe hunt some flying Jho for the Earplugs.

I have a Nerg/Tobi set for really mobile bow that seems to do well, especially with the Tobi bow on element.

you just press X (or A) to jump off

LR sets are very poor on skills. They only offer like 1-2 point skills at best. I think Jyura and Death Stench sets had some points in Focus in LR.
