He doesn't realize he's actually risking death until he decides to try and abuse the time warping, then they sadistically reveal to him they controlled the time warp all along and then actually kill him. None of the game is ruined since you only find that out when you beat the game and died at least once, which most people would've.

Just because he revives doesn't mean he's not dying. Even if his lust wins sometimes, it's clear that the MC still finds dying to be a wholly displeasure experience.

And it ruins the game for the player as it changes your view of the succubi. They are no longer alien creatures with no sense of morality, an inability to form attachments, and a view of humans as the equivalent of insects.
