That's not bad.
It's bad when the tick rate is so low that the other guy, who's on your end clearly further away from the gun, grabs it first.

So what approach do you people have? Do you try to go for kills or top 10/wins?

run towards gunfights but disengage if needed

Depends on what I'm going for.

I feel like that's what I should be doing, I want to play more for kills than for wins but it's so frustrating when you run around for 20 minutes trying to find somebody just to get fucked by the shitty server or inadequate loot so I'm thinking about changing up my approach and playing like a pussy until I reach the top 50 or top 30 or something and then start chasing gunfights and play more aggressive, so I just don't bomb out in the 80's-60's due to shit RNG.

Headshot damage is still way too fucking high.

Once you get a good gun and decent armor, midgame is great for killing people and taking their loot since they'll be pretty stacked. Makes the RNG aspect somewhat more bearable.

don't loot so much
find a good weapon and armor and start looking for fights
the amount of loot you get from killing is faster and easier to get than by constantly having to catch up to blue zones or better positions by constantly looking for loot

Does anyone even actually like the old map as opposed to the new one? I find it way more entertaining

And more importantly, you learn the gunplay only by, well, playing with your guns.
I suggest UMP, SCAR and M4 as starting weapons simply because of the minimal recoil/spread in the SMG and AR class.

I enjoy hiding in bushes in the old map and the end game is definitely more fun. I can't count the number of times the final circles ended up in an open desert in Miramar.

Anyone know why I have steady 60+ fps on both maps in tpp but like 30fps in fpp? Really makes no sense to me.

I'm playing this on XB1.

In the beginning everyone was shit at aiming but I've noticed generally everyone I encounter has gotten better.

It's a shame they didn't bother to work on a decent port instead of basically cramming the game together. Will they even be able to improve it? For a good XB version they should've started from the ground up.

So in my first match, I got the drop on some guy maybe 30 meters away with my m14. I dumped my entire mag into him in burst shots and all of them missed. I watched the death cam and he turned around after all my shots missed then casually sprayed me down holding m1 with a SCARL. What did I do wrong here? Did I simply pick up the wrong gun?

The Groza is pretty much an AK with almost 416 recoil, the only difference is it's recoil is kind of delayed which makes follow-ups with a 4x a little harder but it's brutal at full-auto range.

The rate of fire is also absurd. I fell in love with that gun after the game I had with it but I'll probably never get it again now.
