The best part of banlists is seeing how far cards fall. I doubt Maxx C is going to drop too much though. People are going to hold onto it in hopes of it quickly getting unbanned.

It's just future proofing. It's like how Claus can search any Nekroz spell or trap but Nekroz never got any traps.
That said, in a ritual archetype like Vendread it only makes sense that they'll get more ritual spells.
