>Petra remains based through all of the 4x genre regardless of setting Best wonder and best girl
Grayson Morales
The thing is, PARADOX CAN'T DO THIS SIMPLE SHIT RIGHT GOD FUCKING DAMMIT
Nicholas Hernandez
I want a craver to pin me down and start craving my dick.
Gavin Baker
no
Lucas Baker
It would be extremely painful
Camden Sullivan
>play xenophobic pacifists with inward perfection >get gangbanged by federations of xenos when I just want to be left alone and contemplate the shroud >get mad >reroll as murder bots >currently genociding all life with control of 1/4th of the galaxy I didnt ask for this.
William Wilson
Tell me. How do I deal with xenos in Stellaris? I feel like I always wait too late and 2 of them team up on me and the war lasts through several tech ups and I white peace because I forget to make war demands and then 10 years later they come at me again and win and I delete the save. Even if I win, I cleanse 3 planets for 80% warscore then evereyone hates me for being a genocidal maniac and they just recolonize them a year later anyway. Teach me how to enslave. Is authoritarian good? I just wanted to build tall with habitats and repeat the fuck out of techs and make a super fleet. I still don't know how my cruisers with hangers and torps lost to fucking battlesips. Maybe not enough corvettes. I do want to do the biological ascension path too so I could nerve staple them but I also have syncretic evolution, so I have my own proles.
I want my revenge.
Ian Stewart
now you truly see
Anthony Ward
you know, I think muderbots it probably the pest 'permament' civic like out of fanatic purifier, devouring swarm and the non-hostile perma-civics it has the best bonuses
Benjamin Edwards
Why use hangers when you can get more plasma and kinetic artillery?
Ian Baker
He's probably using hangars for fighters to shoot down enemy missiles/strike craft. Personally I use destroyers with KA and 2 point defenses.
Austin Morales
First off, crusiers are king of the battlefield but the best build is plasma cruisers with some PD cruisers to help. A plasma cruiser uses kinetic artillery front and medium plasma for the other slots, PD cruiser is the same but the middle slot should have fighters and PD. Next up you shouldn't piss of all of your neighbors, or if you are then you have to go all the way. For going tall it is usually best to go Fanatic Materialist / Egalitarian and build lots of frontier outposts to build lots of mining stations.
Brayden Kelly
rush them niggas early while you can demand all their planets use the insane boost in economy and fleet size to take out other neighbors too You already won at this point and the rest of the game is just a formality, so feel free to fuck around
Liam Lee
>when you are a xenophobe because you are afraid of xenos invading but the xenophiles hate you for being xenophobes afraid of xeno invasions so they invade you to teach you not to be afraid of xeno invasions
Elijah Cox
>tfw you're a peaceful xenophilic democracy going around "liberating" all the racist warmongering despots
Jaxon Jackson
I see I see. I've been going xenophobe for the little extra borders but unless I'm gonna stack all the border expansions I guess I should give it up. Plus Egalitarian is an easy faction to please for dat influence. I was watching Aspec on YouTube and he was all about the torpedo bow for neutron torpedoes, hangers for bombers, and the medium back. He was also all about missiles until you get plasma since they can't be countered early game. Maybe I should switch back to mass drivers. >xenophobic egalitarian. Equality for people. You're not people.
Brody Carter
I love Horatio.
Jayden Butler
>Plus Egalitarian is an easy faction to please for dat influence Materialist is actually the easiest faction to please since they just want robots and research agreements.
>I was watching Aspec on YouTube Stop that, he is a retard
Dominic Gutierrez
Therapy might help.
Angel Wood
They have pills to help cure you of that, hey are called cyanide pills
Noah Johnson
>t. falseflagging Horatio
Jordan Lewis
>Sophonis >True oracles of science and exploration >exploration ships can only fit 1 movement module and 1 probe launcher
ye olde vaulters, however, get 3 probe launchers and a movement module
So if the Vodyani just repurposed old virtual endless exoskeletons. Does that mean that the virtual endless were smoking hot as well?
Brody King
>Life-Seeded: Your species evolved in a lush paradise possibly designed just for them. You start on a size 25 Gaia World, but with the Gaia World Preference trait that has 0% habitability on all non-'perfect' environments (Gaia Worlds, Habitats, Ringworlds).
So building tall is becoming more viable?
Ian Sanchez
>Materialist is actually the easiest faction to please since they just want robots and research agreements.
Not him, but now I feel salty going full retard to court the spiritualist faction. Although, it did make the Contingency a cakewalk and let me piss off, and eventually beat, an awakened fanatic spiritualist empire, so there's that.
Lucas Fisher
That doesn't make going tall viable, it just forces you to go tall.
Adrian Perry
Did they change Horatio's AI? He used to backstab me non-stop just like the fish lady, but now he seems pretty peaceful.
Jaxson Walker
>Dude science lol >Oracles of making shit go boom and fun >Don't care about having lots of support modules
Wow, didn't see that coming.
Cooper Edwards
should I trust the space gypsy?
Zachary Harris
Ministry of culture is pretty good
Noah Barnes
Don't trust their festival of worlds though, unless the station is within your empires territories. Then you can blow them up if they try to run with the money.
Luis Myers
Why bother? It's not like there's anything to use the money on anyway.
James Lewis
Horatio said that he wants to be best friends and that I should come over to his space dungeon for dinner and a hot dust bath. Should I head on over there? It sounds like a great time!
Carson Richardson
just white peace already you fucks
Christopher Wright
they didnt send a single fleet
John Moore
How buggy will stellaris 2.0 be?
Josiah Gonzalez
They do that a lot.
Brandon Thompson
it will be an ant nest
Carter Garcia
The nest itself is 20 extra bucks.
Joshua Reed
Besides Battle Realms and Impossible Creatures, what are some funs and innovative RTS?
Christopher King
me :)
Kayden Wood
>awakened empires Either maximum REEEEEEEEEE or do nothings.
Jose Lopez
I remember my first awakened empire it was the xenophile ones they woke up when I was just steamrolling half the galaxy, demanded I be their subject then did literally nothing for 100 years until I had gathered enough ships to just blob all over them and continue my quest to turn the entire galaxy into robutts
Jace Perez
>get interdicted on top of their frontier outpost >fleet goes missing
William White
FUCKING BASTARDS
Gabriel Butler
>Immense cosmic being >still susceptible to down syndrome poor space animal
Carson Ward
space autism is no joke
Nathan Ramirez
So I am playing Stellaris on my laptop and am having issues with stuff getting cut off on the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know of solutions? See pic for example
Jaxon Cook
Don't use stupid mods for starters.
Noah Carter
I just wanted to try it out, thought it looked interesting.
Connor Bailey
you don't look interesting
Xavier Sanchez
the 2d one
Lincoln Butler
>Event Horizon event I wonder what caused this tragedy. TIME TO FIND OUT
David Wood
Huh, everything worked out better than expected.
Isaac Rivera
use 1080p mod
Justin Miller
How do I fix shitty energy deficit? No matter how much power plants I build shit is always going negative, its an annoyance like happiness in Civ5
Sebastian Moore
Don't make so many ships, use Capacity Overload on your planets and what fleets you do have should be orbiting a planet with a station.
Liam Williams
>don't make so many ships >get steamrolled by the AI
Also, I want to blob into this orange xeno scum but they are friends with literally half the galaxy, what should I do?
Benjamin Sanchez
Replace everything with power plants. You'll need more than just the number of tiles with natural energy yields.
Juan Roberts
Make a new colony and dedicate it almost completely to energy production.
Usually that works well until Habitats appear.
Jose Bailey
I already have a planet dedicated to energy production, should I make another?
Julian Roberts
yes
Aiden Moore
Make more until you struggle to keep up with your energy production.
Julian Morgan
It's starting to dawn on me just how much of the game I'm going to have to re-learn once 2.0 comes out.
Blake Bell
Why have you changed the color of the Commonwealth of Man?
Samuel Jackson
There's not much in the way of diplomatic means to break up alliances and defense pacts, or to sow dissent in other faction's friendships. It's pretty rare that such things exist in 4x games and I wish it was more common. So you're out of luck here, wait until there's a big war for an opertunity?
On the other hand I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who changes the colour of the CoM to blue, makes for nicer looking ships and so long as you don't touch anything else still get CoM specific events like finding Voyager or the Hyacinth.
Isaiah Long
Not really since most sane people will drop the game because of 2.0.
Xavier Gomez
What I do is bee line to the max tier of spaceport and defense station tech and go Voidborne for the habitats , you have the mineral income to build at least two in the short future
>void craft scientist on engineering > research cheap technologies to re roll faster until you get spaceport or platform tech >engineering research grant so it goes faster
once you have the ascension perk save up 5k minerals and build habitat somewhere where it wont be lost if a bad war happens , fill it with Synths or Thrifty pops if possible and you will get around 6x12 energy credits x month before pop and empire multipliers
William Edwards
Speaking of robotics, do people actually build robots/synths? I mean I always figured if I never bothered to build them I wouldn't get the crisis later in the game.
Hudson Flores
What's the point of having so many Tradition trees?
Wiz really needs to remake Traditions into making more sense, maybe by linking them to Ethics and giving them Attraction and such.
Jaxson Ward
I usually start building robots once I get enough mineral production to justify wasting it on building them to get my planets fully developed quicker though usually I don't bother specialising them for specific resources with robomodding since the Sector AI will just fuck everything up by moving the pop around unnecessarily so instead I just try to get their upkeep and consumer goods cost as low as possible and if I can get the build speed up if I plan on building a lot of them
Daniel Rivera
I haven't played in Stellaris for a while. What's the opinions on the current best X slot weapon?
Jayden Cook
...
Caleb Anderson
M-Mommy...
Colton Davis
>sane people I want you to think real hard about the type of person who is still playing Stellaris and ask yourself if they can be considered "sane"
Joseph Harris
I buy one or two to reach 5 pops faster and upgrade the main building
other use is making them "hold" a colony in a planet where you cant live , useful for those that purge all xenos , droids can turn those 20% hab conquered words into mineral and food producing planets
Synths are great for energy and research habitats if you dont mind the build time
Daniel Harris
I play it currently. And I consider myself sane.
Thomas Ward
>I consider myself sane user, how long have you been stuck on Wiz's Wild Ride? It is time to get help
Lincoln Reyes
Considering I also play CK2 and EU4 I've been on paradox's wild ride for a long time.
Owen Green
user, I'm so sorry.
Eli Morales
are carriers built to be carriers with / bomber/fighter modules worth it? Or should you just stuff big guns on them even though they dont get a role bonus?
are there certain factions that benefit more from carriers than others?
Connor Phillips
Why mommy? She looks young.
Levi Butler
Well I'm most likely out after 2.0 so there's hope.
Thomas Watson
you will be back it may be a while, but you will
Nathaniel Green
Only if they fix what they plan to destroy. I actually have other games to go play.
Alexander Adams
fighters end up doing more damage than bombers because of their extra tracking and ability to shot down other fighters that would kill them , bombers are good vs spaceports , stations without PD and Unbidden/Prettyworm crisis for their armor/shield pierce
Evan Baker
Mods will fix it user, don't worry too much
Joshua White
Multiple FTL modes were a bad idea. They are fixing it by making more distinct wormholes as additional mod of transportation.
Luis White
didn't Wiz even state at some point that they were even making it possible that if mods wanted to , they could bring back warp and wormholes? or is my memory playing tricks on me
Sebastian Morris
>Multiple FTL modes were a bad idea Maybe. But then they went with the shittiest FTL mode in the game as the only one.
Levi Flores
Surely, you meant >the only one that can feasibly work
Blake Gutierrez
>expanding my spess kingdom >every system is happy or ecstatic >not paying attention to overcolonization >two outposts turn to colonies the same turn two minor factions join me Wow everyone got mad real fast.
Aaron Roberts
Dust Mommories.
Landon Ramirez
Why factions aren't created the moment a single pop of that ethic exists in your Empire eludes me.
Aren't pops meant to represent billions of people?
Chase Price
Not really. It just makes the game annoying to do anything war related. Just find the best choke point and hunker down.
Dylan Garcia
Man, the custom empire feature in Endless games is so fucking lackluster. There must be more to life.
Juan Long
I just use it to remix Horatio.
David King
is that a perk or a con? id take it jusr to "roleplay"
