Really, if you dislike mapping, exploring and having to make up your own stories, you shouldn't even bother. It's okay though, no one has to like everything. As long as you know that the girls are cute.
Not a very defensive team. Depending on which Gunner and which Princess is used it could get hard.
If it is EO3 Princess, you'll be fine. Princess/Hoplite was also a good tank.

I just beat EOU classic with R/A/A/H/P. Post game was pretty comfy with grimoires carried over from story mode. Onto the next.

I would love to make them work but how do you build the rest of the party?
It seems a Botanist is needed for when the dodge fails and to recover from area damage. Heal Botanist can even give some bulk. But they are also dead weight when the dodge actually works...

I wouldn't call botanist dead weight when the dodge lands
Overheal can help give them an extra buffer for when they do get hit, and also dodge fencers can't protect you from line of AoE attacks
Between bows, staves and sycthes botanists have decent offensive presence with weapon skills and if you're really only concerned about healing your fencer you could use a poisoner botanist

Herald Shaman and Deathguard Harbinger can increase the dodge chance but sound horrible since they are supports. And they can not replace the Botanist because they lack consistant revive and reliable area heal.
So a Pugilist for leg binds? Even barrage can dish out damage.
I guess the way you'd want to deal damage is by lure procs, so 2 other frontliners would be best
Fencer dodgetanking can help keep a 4kat alive and hell slash can chase lure procs
Pugilist would be good not for leg and head binds, since they reduce accuracy now
